Total Commander and Windows 8

Total Commander 7.56a is not compatible with Windows 8. There is an error when trying to delete one or more files to recycle bin. The following workarounds exist for this problem:

• Download and install Total Commander 8.52a final.
  You can download Total Commander 8.52a (Shareware) now from our normal download page.
  Note: The update is free for everyone who bought a licence.

• Change the compatibility to Windows XP
  a. Right click on the icon you use to launch Total Commander
  b. If you right clicked on Total Commander icon in the task bar, you need to right click again on "Total Commander"
  c. Choose "Properties"
  d. Switch to the "Compatibility" tab
  e. Set the compatibility to Windows XP (Service Pack 3)
