Total Commander - Year 2000 compliance

Total Commander 3.5 and 4.0x have been tested extensively for year 2000 compliance. The only problem found in earlier versions was with the 'change attributes' function, when the user entered a 2 digit year. Total Commander 3.53 and 4.0x now set the year to 20xx if the 2 digit year is <80, and to 19xx if it's >=80. Of course, one can still enter a 4 digit year. File display has no problems with y2k, and all file functions are based on Win32 functions, which can handle file dates beyond the year 2000. Internally, Total Commander uses the DOS date/time representation, which lasts until the year 2100. For copying on NTFS, Total Commander uses the Win32 date/time format (64 bit).

We can, however, not give you a legally binding written statement that Total Commander is 100% year 2000 compliant. Every complex software contains bugs - this cannot be avoided, because every user uses the software in a different way and a different environment. Since all updates can be downloaded for free from www.ghisler.com, we will of course quickly correct any bugs which are reported to us.
